It sounds like you have an Eaton Rear. I also have a '69 3/4 ton. I believe the ratios are either 4.11 or 4.57...

4.10 or 4.56 most likely. Ratio not on the case. You can either pull the back cover to read it or do the old spin the wheel and watch the driveshaft routine.

Here is a pic of where the #'s are stamped on an Eaton rear end. Not a very good pic, but it should help. If you find the letters, I can look it up for you.

My book shows 1969 "MU" to be a 3:73 Locking axle for a C-20 or a
G-20? It also shows "MU" to be a 1967 C-30 5:14 Locker rear axle? Does that sound like what you have???

If your rear axle is a Eaton, I have never seen a 3:73 ratio in one of them. You might want to double check by pulling the cover and getting the numbers off the ring gear. You might also double check the "MU" code on the rear end again. My book shows codes for trucks and vans, and I am thinking the 3:73 was a van ratio??? Having the locker makes it worth alot more.
