Your truck looks outstanding! How much drop in front? Do those 18's rub on the wheel wells or did you have to modify the wells?

I am really interested in your truck. I am overseas in the middle east until Jun 05. I am going to take leave in Feb and will be back in IN. Would you consider any trades? I have a '97 Harley Sportster 1200 custom with only 2600 miles on it.

It would only be 'dishonest' if he stated in his e-bay ad that the engine compartment was pristine or show worthy.

IIRC, the ad states it's not a show car, it's a cool driver. To quote: "This truck is not a show truck but a very nice almost untouch original . The paint is approximately 15 years old . In otherwords not perfect . Ask questions if unsure . Engine runs good and have had no problems with it. Nor have I had any problems with the transmission ."

I believe the engine shots came after a request for further details/pics. $12,500 for a truck w/50K on the body (a solid short-fleet w/steel floor), that's bagged, upgraded to discs, w/18's & 20's isn't unrealistic . . . ..... even w/a dirty, grimy, but good running engine.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Lets see pics of your truck. We've heard your criticism of his truck so lets compare yours.

And yes, an original paint, unmolested big block, tilt, tach 70 CST is a 'smokin' deal.... especially if it looks like that 67. Take that $4500 & add 3K worth of wheels & tires + 2K for the air-ride, a couple hunderd for the disc conversion & 5-lug axle swap while we're @ it & the grand total is between 10-11K. The fact that his is a 67 adds to the price tag as well.

AirRide & 20's may not be your cup of tea, but price wise he's not out of the ballpark irregardless of wether it's dirty or clean under the hood. I won't argue, it is dirty.... but calling him "not very honest" because he didn't post engine compartment pics is .

Your opinion matters.... when it's solicited. If you feel the need to speak out about something (such as this), perhaps asking if their intent was to mislead, or, suggesting to them you read it & felt it was mis-leading would be better than saying they were dishonest.

I'd imagine that anyone who plopped down 13.5k for a truck would request some under hood pictures before submitting his bid on ebay.

I've seen this truck in person and it's nice. I think it's a fair deal. This truck sits perfect. I hope mine comes out as nice as his.

wow it amazes me how some people think, i have read his e-bay listing and don't see anything wrong with it. his price, is his price..........he has put some $$$ and his own time into it. time is worth money too. i am glad that you found a good deal on your truck colin, it doesn't happen all the time. but to criticize someone else's ride is pretty dirty. if you feel he is misleading in his listing.........don't bid on it. plain and simple. and for those who do bid on it, if they don't ask to see pics of the motor, that is their fault, he stated that it runs good, not that you could eat off of it....

My 67' SWB for sale!

Hi, It seems I have had alot of emails stated that I am crazy asking the price I am asking for this truck. The real funny part about it is that these same people who think that have never seen this truck in person. This truck is as stated - A VERY COOL CRUISER,NOT A SHOW TRUCK! Although it wouldn't take that much to make it one. I purchased the truck for approx. $5500,another $3000 for wheels & tires, another $1700 for air ride, dropped spindles, disc brakes, etc.,and approx. $1000 to $1200 in misc. items. Some people think I am not entitled to recouperate a dime for the time I have invested in it! I think you could not put together a nice truck with the work that this one has for the kind of money I am asking. And I don't think you would be disappointed for the money. I think it is CHEAP! Anyway,I have lowered my reserve and my BUT IT NOW price. If I do not get a winner at the auction's end,I guess I will keep and continue to drive & enjoy it. Thanks and for those of you who are bidding,Good luck!

My Truck Got Cheaper!

The reserve has been lowered on Ebay. And it has been met. This truck will be sold! Anybody interested now! It is cheap! Could not be built for this price. Thanks to all the people with BRAINS!! that defended me on my pricing of the truck. And for those of you who have actually seen the truck in person and complimented its appearance. It's not a bad deal. Here's a link if anyone wants to bid. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=39409
