Looking to buy an engine

As the title says, I am looking to buy an engine, I would prefer a big block but I am open to anything, if not rebuilt needs to be in good condition. Just let me know what you have

One of my buddys has a 454 that was in a boat. he wants $500 for. It was in a big boat with 2 454's and the guys started the motors up and one thorw a rod. The other one was in good shape. He took it all a part and sold it to my buddie like 12 years ago and it has been siting at his house. He has a 468 i think he wants $2,000 for i dont know much about it but could find out. H has another 468 that i dont know anything bout but could find out.

Jim, yeah I couldn't wait I had to put the truck in my avtar If you could find out about that engine that would be great!

Nick's683/4, could you find out about that 468, I would prefer a strong running engine that I can just drop in, but if I can't find anything like that I will consider rebuilding one.

The 468 for $2,000 was rebuilt and has almost all the stuff for it. I am at school now when i get home tonight i a will ask him more about it. I would have got it if i had the money but i didnt and ended up puting almost that much into my 454 that i have now.

I have a crate 350 w/ approximately 5K miles on it. I pulled my engine out of my previous truck. Everything is new on it. Comes with everything the battery, starter, water pump, HEI, fan w/clutch, 8.8 wires, etc. I want 2K for it.

350

I have a 350 with 3500 miles on a rebuild. It has world products S/R torquer heads. 2.02 valves, Edelbrock performer intake, eldelbrock 1406 carb with electric choke, cloyes double roller timing chain, and a mild pulling cam. No distributor. It has a MSD pro billet in it but I am keeping it for another project. 950.00 or best offer.

Thanks,

Kevin

I've got a great running 283 (ain't no big block but sounds great and economical) with 145 psi min compression, great oil pressure and does not smoke. Starts every time no matter how long it sits. Friends visiting from Folsom, CA this weekend so I will ask if they would mind putting it into the trunk of their Toyota for free delivery...LOL!
