WTB Stock Aux gas tank fuel pickup and float assembly

I am having problems, yet I am not done calling around town for all the answers..
I went to get my aux fuel tank (The one on the drivers side of the bed near the cab, not the type that has a silver door) welded up, and had to take off the sending unit and float..the gage has always read pegged way past full, checked all the wires and all are good all the way to the switch. Now I don't know how to check to see if the switch is bad. It reads fine when i have it on the cab tank.
Well back to the float assmebly, when i took it out it was completly rusted looking. I tried to clean it up the best I could..Since i bought this truck i haven't ever used the tank cause I couldn't trust the gauge.

Well I cannot find a replacement for it.
Does anyone have a good used or new in box one???
Or can someone direct me to where I could get a universal type..

Thanks for your help

OH Yeah the 3 long bolts that go through to hold it up under the bedside..Yeah no one has those either.. So now I am using allthread with lock nuts and washers..
You would think chevy would still make these..

Looks an awful lot like a 60-66 suburban/panel tank sender, might try one of those. Brian

The sending unit/pickup from a Blazer tank is very similar but will have to be modified to fit in your auxilliary tank. Blazer tanks are deeper.

JCWhitney used to have universal sending units that had adjustable arms for different tanks. Take a look there as well. Would also be sure to check your wiring as that is far more common a problem then the actual sender. Check for continunity through it's length as well as a good solid ground at the sender. Good luck--Huck
