Do ya think I got a good deal?

Just kidding, Its a SWEET DEAL! I was telling a coworker that I needed an engine for my '84 & he said he had an old truck with a fresh engine in it that has been sitting for @ 5 years. He told me that it was his son's truck & that he stuck over $3500 in the engine. I asked him a few details about it & it turns out its a '69 factory 396 1/2 ton AC truck & it was in REAL good condition.

Are you ready for this?... I bought the whole thing for $350 bucks!!!!!

I am taking the engine and trans & swapping it into my truck & building a small block & sticking it into the '69 for my 14 year old. We are both pretty excited about it to say the least...corn

I'd say...

first on the deal and then on the fact that you can get away with that swap ( I can't because of emissions)

Thanks everyone, we are tickled. My son is already looking at truck catalogs instead of his skateboard magazines now. Two trucks are better than one!...corn
