Do ya think I got a good deal?
Just kidding, Its a SWEET DEAL! I was telling a coworker that I needed an engine for my '84 & he said he had an old truck with a fresh engine in it that has been sitting for @ 5 years. He told me that it was his son's truck & that he stuck over $3500 in the engine. I asked him a few details about it & it turns out its a '69 factory 396 1/2 ton AC truck & it was in REAL good condition.
Are you ready for this?... I bought the whole thing for $350 bucks!!!!! I am taking the engine and trans & swapping it into my truck & building a small block & sticking it into the '69 for my 14 year old. We are both pretty excited about it to say the least...corn Last edited by corn; 09-16-2007 at 06:29 PM. |

I'd say...
first on the deal and then on the fact that you can get away with that swap ( I can't because of emissions)

Thanks everyone, we are tickled. My son is already looking at truck catalogs instead of his skateboard magazines now. Two trucks are better than one!...corn

I am north of LeMars 6 miles on Hwy 75. We are probably about 20 minutes apart! I work at Northern Auto Parts, (Mopar) in Sioux City.
