Hey guys, I was looking a my 68 today and there is to much rust for me to fix. So i am going to try to get a 3/4 ton or a 1 ton 4X4 pickup to put my 454 in. If anyone has one for sale let me know. I will also like a 4X4 blazer. I would like to find one that is in CA.

Not to hijack the thread, but I just wanted you to know that the factory didn't make 1 ton 4x4's in the 67-72 year range. Also, they didn't make a factory BB 4x4 67-72. The swap has been done many times though, so it's not at all impossible. Just things to keep in mind, in case you didn't know.

Thanks for the info about the 1 tons. I didnt know that. I can make all the stuff to put the BB in the 4X4. I just dont want to do any rust stuff on the cab. I would have to go buy a welder and anything. My welder wont weld stuff that is that skinny. Thanks again for the 1 ton info.

my bro has a 72 1 ton, that came with a 454, the moter was shot, so he put a 350 in it, the truck is really nice and solid, no rust.... I dont know if its exactly what you are looking for, but he wants $5500 for it... Its got a big lift, with 36,s.. Really a nice looking truck.. let me know if you are interested, and ill try and get pic from him... this truck is converted to 1 ton from a 82 truck i think???

I've got a '69 K5 for sale. It has a hard & soft top. 350/TH350, stainless exhaust, 35's, 4.10's, 6" lift, disks up front. $6250 in Seattle area.

I dont think he will sell it less tranny and engine, but he might pull the 350, and sell it with the bad 454 moter for a bit less.. I know the truck was producing 650 ft lbs of torque, and was a real powerhouse.. But i am pretty sure it is a long box, i wll get some pics real soon!!!!!!!!!

DMNCLNR: Th e 454 that i have should be somwhere around what that motor has that is why i realy dont need a motor. That would be great if he will put that 454 in and sell it for less

Just talked to my brother, and the truck has the running gear from an 81 1 ton, dana 70 in the back, and a Dana 60 in the front. The truck was painted not too long ago, but needs side molding i think on the passenger side.. He has a leaky wheel cylinder that i know he wants to fix before he sells it. He does want $5500 for it, as is. im sure he will stick the 454 back in, but he will not drop the price.... Let me know if you want pics!

I know of the one in fallon Nevada. its a shortbox 4X4, but not a 1 ton. the # is 423-2627.. unknown area code. but nevada shouldnt have too many!

Yeah he said it was his sons and he called him and he wanted 2000 for it and it needed alot of work too. The rockers were rusted and that was all i could look at because it was to dark. The top had holes in it and My dad said " It was all ****ed up." Are you selling your 72 Custom K20 and If so how much? Dose it have any rust?
