As sweet looking as this trailer is, I saw a hideous trailer over the weekend
It started life as a chrysler mini-van, they chopped off the front clip and welded on a trailer tongue.

Yup minivantrailer being towed down the Ohio Turnpike behind an RV...

That made me look twice! LMAO...

Very nice! The truck too! One question though, why different colors on the truck and trailer? Seems like it would be even better if they matched. Just curious, they both look great no matter what color they are.

Our "Little Red Wagon" will seldom, if ever, be pulled behind our 68 and that s why we weren t concerned about the different paint color. On occasion we may parade it around behind one of our other vehicles, one of which is a late model pickup the same color. Started out as a simple 500 dollar project to give me something to do in the Winter and as usual, turned out to be much, and I repeat much more!! Won t be hauling gravel it this one! Pillows maybe! Anyhow it was a fun project. Thanks alot fellow truckies for the nice words. The bed is ash and was finished as original in low luster black with black powdercoated skid strips and stainless hardware. Jim Also,,,Bluebeard, as far as going into business making these ,,,the costs are too high and no one would want to give you anthing for them. (my wife and I already thought of that).

extra nice

Those kind of pics give me motivation. Did you leave a fully loaded rearend with gears, etc. under it? are front frame bends using stock frame?

Thanks for sharing.

Cheyenne 10: Used original chassis and rear end. 3rd member still intact with gears. I removed all brake parts with the exception of wheel cylinders (didn t want hole exposed in backing plates). Original frame bent and welded to form trailer tongue. note: third member (this year still had a removable gear carrier) would have to remain for obvious reasons however ring gear could be removed to prevent pinion from turning. I deemed this unnessary though and felt it didn t warrant the work envolved to do this. Jim
