Few problems with new truck

Just bought an 89 Silverado.

The other day I had the wipers on delay when they started running non-stop no matter where the switch was turned. I couldn't even turn them off. Eventually they went back to operating normally.

My left turn signal doesn't turn off automatically.

My cruise does not work.

Driver's side window (electric) goes down fine but on the way up it gets stuck in two spots. It "chatters" at these points but will go up if I help it along a little. It also chatters at the top like it is still attempting to go up.

Any help would be appreciated!

The Wiper Problem Could Be The Wiper Control Module Its Located On The Fire Wall Attached To The Wiper Motor Its A Common Problem On These Trucks. To Me There Is A Easy Fix For The Trouble That Is Caused By The Mod And It Is Cheaper That Replacing It. You Need To Know How To Use A Soldering Iron. Just Solder The Connections On The Plug.

cruise and blinker problem sounds like your multi function switch I had to replace mine, dealership also says thats a common problem, defiately a real pain to replace, and a pricey part.

97silv5.7-- Did you fix the muti function switch yourself? If so, do you remember where it is?

the multi function switch is the so called wonder stick on the side of the steering wheel that control everything blinkers cruise etc, I spaced out and didnt notice you said 89 truck I would imagine its probably a different setup than my 97, if it isnt than you would have to remove the steering wheel to get to the wiring.

I had the same problem with the wipers and replaced the wiper motor, but the cruise and the rest is the multi function switch as stated elsewhere
