New Shoes

Bought 4 new 255/70/15 T/A's for the ol' Chevy. About $383 out the door at Discount Tire. Bought the set of 8" Ralleys on E-Pay for about 138 shipped, but one rim has a slight curb munch on it. Doesn't show, but the tire guy wanted me to see it when he was spin balancing. We put it on the rear and its not noticeable (look OR ride). The 255's are pretty mild, not too wide, sorry for the darned dark images. My truck is pretty low geared even for having the posi and 350 auto tranny out of a '71 Sub, so I stuck with the near stock diameter tire. Handles great, looks great, love 'em. THANKS to all who provided input on tire selection, H.

those tires are awesome. That is what I'm going to get. Is your truck lowered and how much in the front and rear?

Front is lowered about 2" by removing a coil or 2 off of the new springs before install. i forget, it was 7 years ago! Rear is gonna get SuicideDoors Firestone airbags on the rear in place of the honking coils as soon as the UPS man shows up!

I just bought the same tires, and have them on 8" rallies as well. I love the look too. Mine are 255 / 60/ 15. I have 3.07 gears so I could go a little more low profile.
