Temp Question

I have recently changed jobs and have a long traffic wait about 30 min In stand still traffic. It seems when I am at a stop my temp guage goes up to about 1/2 and as soon as I am driving agian it drop to 1/4 does this seem right or should I be concerned?

From my experience, this is pretty much normal if it's hot outside. When just sitting still with the engine running, you do not get the airflow you normally get while moving which can/will cause the temperature to go up.
