Anyone put newer 60/40 seat in our trucks?
Which year(s) will fit nicely without too many more holes being drilled or height adjustments? Pics? Thanks!

Several of us are using the late model 60/40 seat ,mine is a 98 ,the 2 front outer holes line up the rest you have to drill , I used the large fender washers under the cab , you also need a 1 1/2" riser for the front of the passenger seat ,I just used a 1 1/2" pipe nipple .

Thanks Bill. GREAT pictures. That looks like the one I want. What price range should I expect to pay from a parting-out truck or bone yard?
Thanks! |

I did about the same, but a lot fancier on the bracketry. Just ain't as much hillbilly in me. The seats can be hard to find, usually in the larger cities there is a salvage yard that buys them fo resale. Bought mine from an ad on this site. Used was under $200. and Piston even delivered it to Wichita for me.
Here's a couple of pictures. http://community.webshots.com/user/sf3768

Here's a pic when I was test fitting a 40/60 seat from a 1999 Silverado that I will be using in my truck.
They definitely put you a little higher and closer to the dash. A tilt column will be a nice addition with these seats.

I got mine (98 Silverado) for $70 from a wrecking yard. Mine has the center armrest without the console, though.
