Has anyone else had a problem with bed wood dimensions from Jim Carter antique trucks.I had purchased my wood from a supplier in Alberta Canada who gets it from the above mentioned, as it turned out, by the time I was ready for the installation of the wood( approx 1 year later )I found out that all of the pieces were 1" too narrow ( on the box it specifies do not open until time of installation ) well 6 months later they finally gave me a credit for the wood but Iam still out the shipping cost (frustrating lesson learned )

bc gman sorry to hear about that. Would you happen to have any pics of your truck to post? Would love to see a GMC Longhorn no matter the condition. Is it a Canadian truck?

At present I do not have any pictures of the truck as it is in two pieces right now.the box is in the driveway waiting for paint and the bed wood and the the front is in the garage waiting for paint and power sterring parts. my father inlaw had owned it since new and wasnt using it so he gave it to me as long as I had no intention of selling it. It was in great shape when I got it,the interior was mint other than the rubber mat which I have replaced with carpet.no dents and better yet no rust other than the wood needed to be replaced.(considering that the truck came from Edmonton)

Was your wood 1" too narrow overall?The wood probably was a little green or had a high moisture content when milled.Jim Carter doesn`t do his own wood.He is respected as a straight-shooter and very knowledgable.Sorry it didn`t go well for you.Try him again for anything else.Especially if you have questions or doubt,he`ll steer you straight.

Every piece of wood was exactly 1 " too narrow and they still claim it is the right size, even after sending them all the info i had from other web sites on the matter.
