How do I put a pontiac BB into a 63 chevy c10

I have a 63 shortbed fleetside that I am restoring. I am trying to make a pontiac fit into it (1970 gto motor). I am trying to get some help on figuring how someone may have done it. I hope someone may have some info that will help me get the thing mounted so I can put the cab on and the front end back together. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks
Raphyel

I don't know how much help this is, but I had a 63 C20 with an Olds 350 in it, and it was a bolt in. There were no adapters, welds of any sort.

I Did It

Someone had told me to try thr 67 - 72 big block chevy brackets to make the pontiac big block fit. I went through two sets of mounts before I got it to fit, But the flat brackets when coupled with a 1970s trans am motor mounts was a perfect fit. I tested the angle of the drive shaft going into the rear end and it could not have been a straighter line. I appreciate all of the help you guys have given me. Maybe I will have it done by this time next year. I am doing a full ground up restoration. Well anyways Thanks so much.

Got Pics?

That sounds like a good tech write up.

Regarding pics

I have pics of the mounts as they were installed. My block still has to be bored and put back together, but I wanted to get everything lined up so that I could tie the cross member in and put the cab back on the frame.

partial pic of the setup

Here is a pic of how the chevy big block towers fit. The pontiac motor mounts look very similar to the chevy big block motor mounts.

Good topic

As soon as I get my daily driver going again, I'm going to put a 400 Pontiac in my 72 Blazer.

Gotta love them Pontiac motors. Gobs of torque and beefy bottoms on them

Pontiac in blazer

How are you planning to install the pontiac? Have you found a different method to make it fit? I am just curious, I am really into pontiacs above all other engines.
