Rochester 4 barrel carb question.
Is there a difference in the rochester 4 barrel carb (4mv) for a automatic and manual transmission? If so how whats the difference?

I woudlnt think so if there is its prolly just on the throttle plate where everything hooks on like cruise kickdown etc.

No diff.
Hi, they are the same, only autos have the kick down linkage.

very slight calibration difference. you may not notice it.

Thanks Mike and 68c15. I will keep hunting for the auto version since I have a auto tranny. No rush here its gonna be a while before I can build the 327.

I have swapped many Q jets around, there was no differences at all that will prevent you from bolting either version on either engine/tranny combo. Chevy used the same carbs but just added a connection for the kickdown cable in an allready available hole in the throttle arm. Ford was bad about that, you had to have a auto trans carb to work on a auto trans car/truck.

No pictures, sorry. You can make one yourself if you cant find one in a junkyard. There should be plenty on any chevy truck, they used mostly Quadrajets or Rochestor Dual jets(just the primaries of a quadrajet).
