Brand new beautifully done paint job- BC/CC PPG Original Dark Blue Poly. Tach Dash Power windows installed from A-1 electric Singlewall Top- with BEAUTIFUL smooth finish and PERFECT hatch and hardware. Custom Aluminum thick walled 4 point roll-bar and 4 sets of new black shoulder seat belts. Herculined entire tub and floor and covered with closed cell foam and then carpet. Original Protecto-plate, and paperwork from the orig owner and his son--we are the third owner Orig AM radio in dash, with brand new Kenwood MP3 CD player (in glovebox- has remote and infrared repeater installed so you can change stations with the remote without opening the glovebox), DVD player installed under the rear seat, with flip down 10.5" flat screen in the roll bar above- with wireless head sets so you can listen to the radio while the kids watch DVD's. Everything in this thing is new or carefully and lovingly restored. New seals thru-out- for body and top. Replaced inner and outer rockers, floorboards, tailgate, inner and outer fenders, core support, new windsheild. Aux. battery installed for extra electrical stuff. Hey Diane,
We could trade blazers...you keep my green one. That way all the memories are gone with the blue one and you still have a nice blazer to drive around with the kids. Take care, be well. |

Are you kidding, thats your blazer. If he wants a divorce then fine but you should get everything else, including your blazer. I've been following your build-up forever, its just not right that you should have to let it go. Good luck, I'll be prayin' for you and your little ones.

Luv2xclr8- I got the entire set from Frank (Pickmup). He is great to deal with adn was the only one I could get the blue/black from. I don't really want to try ebay, but may end up doing just that- I would rather a board member got it.
It is totally done except the back hatch and side top windows need put in. Everything else is new or restored. I have a cup holder console or the seatbelt holder one- both restored and looking great. Here is a pic of the brand new TOYO AT 31" tires with Eagle Alloy 15x10 new wheels. They look nice and the blazer drives so smooth. No lift, but the previous owner put in all new shocks and brakes ect.(We just put in a power brake booster, so the brakes work GREAT!!!) Diane |

If there was ever a blazer worth that kind of money this one is it. Good luck with the sale although I agree with what BigJ said.

Folks I have seen this Blazer and the work and detail that has gone into it is top notch. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer Blazer than this one. I believe that Diane is a very honest person in her discription and you would not be disappointed with your purchase.
Diane, I was deeply sadden with your news and I wish you both the best during this trying time. Dennis

Diane, sorry to hear about your troubles. I too hope there is a way you can keep the Blazer, seems a shame to put all that time and trouble into it just to lose it. Good luck and if you need anything don't hesitate to ask. Jeff.

I really have no right to comment one way or the other on the subject. Let me just say that I have followed this Blazer project and loved it. I wish you the very best.

Dianne,
This blazer is one the best that I have ever seen. I just bought a nice 71 project blazer very similar in detail to the one in the pictures. That was last month. If this would have been available at that time, it would be sold. But now, my budget is set for this project and I know that we will more into it than the amount that you are selling this one for. Best of luck in hanging onto it. My question is about the top. Is it OEM original or aftermarket? Could you give me a short brief on how it was sanded or if aftermarket where it was purchased at. Hang in there and I hope it works out for both of you and the kids. God Bless.

D.Passmore-
We had a friend who is in the boat building business sand it down smooth. It is the original top that came with the blazer. I think he sanded it down by hand and used a primer then painted with white paint with a flatner. He told us it was REALLY alot of work and doesn't want to EVER do it again :-) Pictures even don't do it justice---it is mint!! This blazer has EVERYTHING it needs. We even powder coated the interior spare tire carrier. Thanks- Diane |

Previous owner redid all of the chassis...new shocks, brakes, ect- This Blazer runs perfect!
We put in a double battery system to handle the power windows, DVD player, Kenwood CD/MP3 deck and flip down 10.5" flat screen with (2) headsets- also has (4) Kenwood 6x9's---sounds great! Last edited by 1970blazin; 09-05-2004 at 02:40 PM. |

I don't want to sound rude, but how about this?
Sell it to me for $50 dollars. I'll drive it around and take real good care of it. When the divorce is finalized I'll sell it back to you for $1 . You can take my truck as collateral even (since I would have to drive that up there). Todd Last edited by toddtheodd; 09-05-2004 at 03:33 PM. |

That is terrible, I have been watching the build up of that blazer since I joined now that you just finished it after all that time and money is a waste. I hope you can find some way to keep it. Anyway I know how you feel, when my wife left me she tried to take my car a completely redon 84 camaro Z28 and a 2yo 96 Harley davidson. Well I sold the car to pay for the attorney and her half of our "assets", which were only the car and the bike, so that I was able to keep the bike. Hope everything works out.

I appreciate all of the kind words and ideas about keeping the blazer. I am sad to see it go also, but the memories and the idea that my ex and I built this together make me want to sell it. It won't be the last one I have, but for now it needs to go. We are splitting the amount we sell it for, and if it doesn't sell he is going to buy me out of my half of the $13,000. I know it is alot of money, but this blazer is worth it...
Here are the run downs of stuff we bought or did: Bought Blazer in 3/03 with brand new GM 350 and rebuilt tranny -- $5000 Body work and paint--$5000 Herculiner and sound deadner -- $200 New windshield with lifetime leak warranty--$200 Rust free doors -- $300 Upholstery to seats--$1200 Misc powder coating-- $100 New inner and 2 out fenders, tailgate, floorpans, inner and outer rockers, new bumpers, Aux battery box, Fan shroud, All new seals for top and body and misc--$1500 Parts (bezels, emblems, screws carpet ect from Truck shop)--$1200 DVD player, CD/MP3 player, flat screen and (4) 6x9 speakers-- $1500 Power window kit from A-1 electric--$350 New power brake booster--$150 Sanding and painting and repairing top--$500 New GM inner and outer front grill--$700 New wheels and tires--$800 Custom alum rollbar mounted with stainless hardware--$400 (just material) (4) 3 pt shoulder belts--$150 Orig tach kit from Franks Pick M'Ups-$200 (I think??) maybe more That all adds up to $19,450 and doesn't count the million trips to the parts store for supplies, all the wheeling and dealing and trades we did, and all the elbow grease and sweat that went into this thing...wow- even I can't believe it when I add it all up!! Took us a year and a half of time and I think it is one of the nicest blazers I have seen. Thanks to all of you guys for the advice while we were restoring this thing. I have learned so much and made some good friends. Hope to sell soon...don't really want to do ebay, and am not sure I can get $13,000 on ebay....what do you guys think? Thanks again!
