Any of the venders hould haveone and the clear coverlet??? to go over it. I have a copy of a book called "The Little Red Handbook of 147-1972 Trucks" that lists production numbers and rpo numbers for all GM trucks and el caminos. I think I paid $10 at swap meet a couple of years ago, so it should still be in print. If you can't find one or need rpo numbers let me know and I can get them for you. Last time I talked to Jerry Brown from Crossville, Tenn. He said that he had the correct program to create a "new" looking glove box option list. You might check with him since he is in Tenn. Harold

THANKS, ANOTHER QUESTION, WHEN PEOPLE RESTORE THESE RIDES, I
ASSUME THAT WHEN THEY RESTORE THE GLOVEBOX STICKER THAT ITS
PUT BACK TO O.E., SAME OPTIONS AS WHEN NEW, EVEN IF IT IS BEEN
CHANGED DURING THE RESTORATION, YOU WOULDN'T UPDATE THEM.

Or how about this one....it's an Excel document that I snagged off the message board a while ago - it's filled in with options but is editable to suit your needs. I would imagine it would work alright, but wouldn't look as great as a real replacement.

For a 100 pt restoration (still trying to sort that one out since nobody seems to have the definitive rule book) you will have to put it back to original with all the options or lack there of according to the original build sheet. I am not sure what happens with the dealer installed options unless you had the sales documents that state what was added at the dealer. This would make it "legit". But who does 100 pt. restorations on a truck that just reached "classic" status two years ago? A. Not many people...but this is the time to start!!!!!!!!!

I have heard that the Truck Shop makes repro stickers. You can give 'em a call or check out their website...

Without the build sheet with original vin #, there is no way to tell what came on the Blazer originally--period. You willl have enough trouble just trying to figure out what options are there now as some may have been combined way back when. I wouldn't think it would be a big deal to create your own option sheet but type style, numbers and option description as printed on an original sheet will be key to keeping it look original and as correct as possible.
PS you are going to have more critical things to keep you busy --trust me!!

There is no rule as was stated before, as to what you can list as options, but if you list the options as original you should at least go to the trouble to put them back the way the factory would have done it. Saying that ,look at what the blazer has on it, and then do some research i.e paint, top, hub caps etc. and become familiar with what yours has on it compared to others. In the long run no one will know but you but try to get it as correct as possible. By the way it is a great looking truck! Good luck with it and remember, when you get to the point that you want to bash it into the garage floor with a go-devil, and you will, step back and think about how cool it will look when it's finished. Been there done that, LOL.

Canadian built and sold trucks within Canada do have a GM histroy available for about 45 bucks.. all you need is the vin and you can order a package from GM that will list all your options as to the way it came off the line and even the dealership that sold the vehicle.. unfortunately I dont know of a sourcce for US made and sold GM vehicles.

from there site.

Call us with your Vehicle Identification (Serial) Number toll-free (in Canada) 1-888-467-6853, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. EASTERN Time. (Outside Canada 1-905-644-3387 or 1-905-644-4060).

A nominal fee applies for the research service:

$45 Cdn. + GST & PST (ON) for 1964 to current vehicles $25 Cdn.+ GST & PST (ON) for vehicles 1963 and older.

Too bad search is down....

I remember a gal on the board that had a small program that made the item you want.

Have a copy someplace, but haven't unpacked everything yet to find it. And it looked so close to the original.
