wheel size
wheel size for a a '71 - I measured a 4 3/4" bolt pattern but how do i know the backspace size? And does the 4 3/4 sound right?

it sould be a 5 on 5 lug pattern. the back spacing depends on what wheels and tires your using but a stock truck 15x8 ralley wheel the backspacing is 4".

The rims that I'm looking at buying are 18X10 eagle alloys - I've read several articles that said the 10" wide wasn't a problem - I hope it isn't

it should`nt be a problem depepnding on tire size. i don`t know much about 18"wheel fitment but i`m sure someone here does.

10 inches can be an issue, esp if you have lowered it at all. If your bushings are worn...body mounts are bad...poor accident repair...all this can make something fit my truck but not yours.
Another thing that is selome thought of...will your truck be used as a truck anymore? If so, you need to acount for spring squat and the slight lateral movement it'll get (if you have coils in back). |
