Blinkers-Emergency lights question

Ok you electrical know it all's............Here is a question for you hope that someone can give me some advice.Turn lights on and they all work.Put the turn signals on and the back turn signals work,,,,,,But,,,,up front both signals are flashing as if in emergency mode.And inside cab both emergency flashers are going on??????????I think it is just a simple solution?//Any ideas.............Thanks...There is tow hitch wiring from p.o...and am thinking of just replacing all the rear wiring???????????Thanks.........

It may seem weird, but have you checked your turn signal switch and harness lately? All those lines converge there and shorts can show up in the strangest places. I once had trouble with the pass side taillight on a '67 Suburban. Changed bulbs several times, even replaced the internal turnsignal lamp contacts. Nothing. Then I R&R'd the turn signal switch ... there it was.

I would check the front lights for ground. Make sure the actual bulb socket is grounded in each light. It should read less than .6 ohms back to negative on your battery, if you use an ohm meter to check between the socket and battery post.

If your ground is not good back to the battery, then check everything in between.
