Question Source for Manual Steering Gearbox?

Does anybody know of a source for either new or economically priced rebuilt manual steering gear boxes? Quality is more important than price though! I've adjusted mine and the best I can seem to get it is down to just white knuckle driving..., I'd say a Puckerpower Factor of about...6 flat! So, any info would be great! Please, no advice towards power, I really don't want that at all. I'm a Crank, W.P., Alt. kinda man!

it's not usually a problem , usually the rest of the front steering stuff wears out well in advance of the steering box

Call me crazy but I too enjoy my manual steering. I never liked the feel of the older GM power steering units. I picked up an new GM manual box off E-Bay for $40 a while back. I still see them every once in a while. With the exception of maybe a different rag joint/pittman arm, all 2WD truck manual gear boxes from 67-87 will work on your truck. The one I got was advertized for a 74-78 Blazer so people probably did not think it would work for a 67-72 truck. If your wanting a re-man unit, Ed's price is about as good as you will find from a retailer (although cross country shipping may make local prices more competitive).
