1/16" difference either way? What's the allowable tollerance to the length of the driveshaft for that model? Do you have any specs on paper? These things are welded maybe they allow that much tolerance ???
The play has to be made up either at the tranny, and the differential, or somehow at the center bearing if it has one... ------------------ '69 3/4 ton C20 2wd w/ 350ci/400THM and a wood bed! i guess that could be leeway for toleranc,e but still hm insteresting.. not sure howe the rear can slip on auto trans models, the only slip splines are at the tranny tail, so.. hmmm.. everytihng else is solid,
4 speed driveshafts are totally different.,. i stil have another shaft to measure and see, if I find time to dig it out in the next couple weeks. im curious... ------------------ Randy- Lincoln, IL r68c30@hotmail.com 71 C-10, trying to assemble....sigh.. parting out 5.0LTPI '81 cutlass supreme brougham *Paint is overrated © RSS Enterprises 2000 |
