Dakota Digital Gauges

Does any one have these gauges? Are they worth the money? Does it just plug in to the old wireing harness?

I have one of their small Tachs mounted on the column.
Its been there for 10 years now and still works great.
As for plugging into a wire harness.............Don't know.
I just ran a few wires (tach, power, ground).

I don't know of any one in this forum running them. You might try the 67-72 forum. I "think" there are a couple of guys there that have them....

Gchemist has them in his truck. He says he likes them.

I imagine he will wander in here shortly.

Actually G isn't using Dakota guages. I can't remember who makes his thought.

The Dakota gauges replace all instruments and will connect to the existing harness. It replaces the current cluster in your truck and they come with a lifetime warranty. I have sold a number of these lately, and everyone seems to be satisfied with them.

This is the link to them in my catalog.

Cyberdyne I believe.

Dakota does not offer a stand alone tach, like Chris mentioned, they sell complete clusters.

Dakota Digital!
Boy, I should own stock in that company.
7 complete sets for miscellaneous cars and trucks and many individual gauges.
Funny thing is I never put a set in a 73-87. At least not yet.
All of them were very easy to install. They come with great instructions and a good tech support just a phone call away.
Now as far as "are they worth the money?" well in word, no.
They do the same thing regular gauges do but cost about $200 more on average.
But if you want that little something extra that says "TRICK!" Then get em.
