Power brake Conversion
Need info about linkage. I have a 72' c-10 and got the appropriate booster and master cylinder. The booster has a linkage rod out the rear at the bracket and my pedal has a rod that went into the manual master cylinder. What linkage is necessary to mate the two? Any one with pics or parts it would be greatly appreciated....bossrod

I know someone will chime in here in a little while who has pictures, but the rod out the back ot the booster goes to a 'lever'. An inch or so below that, is where the rod attaches that goes all the pedal. The rod for manual brakes is shorter than the rod for power brakes. I'll look for pix, but I am sure someone will beat me to it.

Wow! I've never seen a setup w/ that middle linkage. On my C-10, the pushrod from the pedal bolts directly to the pushrod from the booster. It seems to work fine.
Is this something specific to the earlier/later years?

Hey Greywolf, any way you can get pics of that. I would like to see how yours looks as well. I have the same setup that the Firefighter shows.

I am all about converting to PB, in fact, I think my right leg is getting bigger than my left.
Can the conversion parts be bought new somewhere or must they be found at a junkyard or classifieds. Thanks in advance for any info.

Sure many vendors sell them. But they all want like $300.!!! That's ridiculous. Especially when you already have a good master cylinder & prop valve.
