Talking The rebuild has begun... 68 C10 stepside

Pretty excited to be putting the truck back together. So far things are going great. Got the whole back half of the suspension back on. Long way to go!

Fresh from getting media blasted:

3.73 posi rear end(from my IROC-Z)

ECC hidden hitch, tank, super track bar... etc

Now to tackle the front end and mock up the engine.

Pretty easy. You replace the rear crossmember and it has two mount bolts. Then remove the small cross member in the middle. Mount up the tank and drill the mount holes on the sides... then bolt it up. Used a jack to hole it up and managed to get it installed by myself pretty easily. Very nice tank but its not cheap. Luckily I got it a little cheaper from a board member.

Lock, what are you doing about the bolt pattern on the IROC rear vs the truck front?

67c10step- I've always been very happy with my ECE parts. By the time I get them put onto the truck, I've always forgotten about the price and been very happy with the quality. Never any issue with ECE stuff.

Great question that I don't have fully resolved yet. A buddy of mine who is into make brake conversions has my front spindles(73+ ones) and is working on adapting C5 brakes. He is trying to find a rotor that fits and then that is cut off and a hub is made. He thinks the 1LE Camaro rotors will work, I need to check with him and see how its coming.
