71 SWB BBC Fleetside Truck For Sale in DFW Area
Hate to sell this truck but need to as I am moving and will not have room for it. It is a good driver and has served me well. Just got back from Arkansas towing a truck back and have been to Randy's in Kansas in to haul stuff back to Texas in it. It is not a perfect truck for sure but a bargain for someone who needs a driver to fix up and can afford the gas. I will take $3700.00 for it. Going to Arkansas I had a blowout and it screwed up the driver's side wheel well area of the bedside but is not too tough a fix. For $100.00 I will throw in a good driver's side bedside to go with the truck. It is a factory black 402 BBC truck with the original motor that has about 10000 miles on the rebuild. Runs strong, good oil pressure and uses no oil at all. Power steering, manual brakes and no air. T400 Tranny that was rebuilt the same time as the motor. You can drive the truck anywhere. It needs front shocks. It has a new power steering gear. Could use a new set of wheels. The interior was originally blue which does not go well with the Black. I have been changing the blue out with red. Red does go really well. I have a new red dash pad and some red door panels with nice arm rests I got from Randy. You can email or PM me with any questions you may have.
Thanks for looking, Ernie

The interior is not done. It was blue and I am in the process of changing it to red which looks nice. I am also putting some nicer mirrors and door handles on it. The steering column is still blue and needs to be painted black. The steering wheel is blue but is cracked all to HeII. The seat is good and with the black and red houndstooth cover from Kenny's ($200.00) and a carpet kit the truck would be really decent. I had some body work done on some areas that had rust. The rust was cleaned up then fiber glass was used instead of bondo. Seems to hold up much better. It needs nothing to drive but power brakes would be nice. It is a good driver like it is. I have hauled heavy loads at 80-85 mph up and down hills with it. I will post some pictures of the damage on the driver's side bedside caused by the blowout. This is an easy fix for a body man but not for me. I will also post a picture of the engine compartment. Engine is tight, has no funny noises, uses no oil. Don't know what else to say about it. A lot of truck for the $$$.

Hey soala70,
Sent you a PM. I am moving and have not gone by FedEx yet. I have some motor mounts, armrests and bedsides to ship also and some fenders to deliver. I plan to do this tomorrow as I will be off for the next three days and can get finished up here. Ernie
