Perhaps you can find out more info on that strange little gizmo.
I was never able to get a straight answer about it from my local GM parts house.
Sorry it was in such sad shape.

Tim is that humor? I knew you were looking for work but I had no idea you aspired to be a comedian....

A "Pulse Control Module" is a timer circuit board that the wiper switch plugs in to. It controls the amount of delay between wiper pulses.....

you sure its off a '77? I have never seen or heard of a 77 with delay wipers.

77 was the first year intermittant wipers were available on GM trucks. Take a look at this post for part numbers.

PC the switch I bought "appears" to be correct for 77. I haven't verified it yet but I'm pretty sure it's right. The pulse control module "I know" is correct. Frank (7T7) bought his 77 new and it came with intermittent wipers. They failed while under warranty, and the service dept. replaced the switch with a manual control, but left the pulse control module in place.

I plan to try to convert the switch to accept the later model 78-83 module....

Here is the 77 switch on its AC Delco box. The one you pictured above is the same as what I just put in my 80 Indy Hauler. You can see that the electrical connections are the same as the one you got, just the mounting tabs are different.




Here is the switch I took out of my 80, I know it's not intermittant, but it shows the flat mounting tabs.



The control modules are the same from 77-83. I put the one I ordered for a 77 into my 80, it plugged right in and works perfect.

So to run these on my '78 I would need (from what you posted earlier) Switch: D6326A Module: D6355A? Then all you do is plug it in and it works? No extra wires needed or anything?

When my dad was driving the truck he added an aftermarket delay. I cant remember everything he had to do, but it was a nightmare and he went through 3 delay boxes. They work good, but I would like to clean up the interior and remove that box. Its about the size of a tralier brake controller hanging off my dash.
