Rear end for 1969 c10
I have a 1969 Chevy C10 with a 1975 Chevy 350 small block 4 bbl. The truck was a manual but by the time I got it, it was converted to an automatic. The guy didn't even have a crossmember holding the transmission up, just a piece of steel. Well anyway, the ring and pinion is all chewed up and needs to be replaced. The local salvage yards won't sale a ring and pinion seperate so I decided just to buy a different rear end. My questions is, what trucks would be a close fit to what I am looking for. Gear ratio is 3.73 and has drum brakes and coil springs. Also, what front wind shield would be a good fit, because someone used the truck for target practice. Thanks for your time and I enjoy reading the different posts. This 69 C10 is a project that me and my father n law are working on together.

67-70 chevy for the rearend, GMC has leaf springs, any 67-72 for the windshield. Welcome, Where you from? Someone may have a rearend for you cheap. Randy

Located 1 hour north of Detroit. Local junk yards don't have that many late model trucks to choose from...

Check with Jmanz69 he has the gears you need and possibly other parts as well he is in Waterford just north of detroit too.
