Christmas came early yesterday... Cabs!!
Whoo Hoo!!
Went to John@ThePier (John), in Lake Geneva WI, and picked up 2 new cabs. He is a great guy, and has been collecting 60-72 Chevy trucks and parts for over 16 years. I bet he has forgot more knowledge about these trucks, than I know altogether, seams like every question I asked, he has done it Both cabs are 1972 models, and they are in incredible shape. Of all the years living in the south, I have never seen cabs in this kind of shape (that havent been restored). Very little work is needed to make them perfect. Both cabs have the removable high center hump. The black cab still has a VIN matching glove box decal that authenticates the cab as an original black, big block, fully loaded Super Cheyenne. It even has the holes for the headliner and 2 sets of inner and outer A/C boxes and controls were included. This cab will be tucked away for a restoration project worthy of such a cab. The green cab is a 1972 cab that is very clean. Needs outer rockers only. It's a NON-A/C cab and is completely stripped to bare cab. This will be the perfect replacement for the cab on my 72_C-30 that the body man in Memphis botched. Enjoy the eye candy!! Last edited by dtlilly; 09-02-2004 at 02:17 PM. Tim, that's what Dodges are for!!
68c15, I'm going to wait until winter... then all I have to do is put it on a big sled and get some Siberian Huskies Also tied on the that trailer is 2 sets of doors, a tailgate, extra gas tank. In the back of the Dodge is extra A/C stuff, extra vent cowl, wind deflector, and 67-68 Truck buckets, console and frame.!!! <<<EDIT>>> oh yeah, also a rubber bed mat that wasn't part of the deal and I have to return to John... Sorry dude! Last edited by dtlilly; 09-02-2004 at 02:29 PM. |

Thanks JunkyardJohn, That means a lot to me. These cabs come from Cali not far from you, just 15 years ago. Any rust has started during the storage while here in Wisconsin. b
