front bumpers- plate vs no plate?

Most of our trucks that I've seen have a front chrome/painted bumper with a liscence plate cutout. I've also seen some with no cut out. Any reason for the differences? Im looking to put one on my 79 in the future, can't decide which one I want yet....

I'm gonna spring for the LMC Premium Chrome Bumper with Fog Lights, and i think it does not have the licence plate cutout; so, no cutout
Except that sucks when i find some cool licence plate

i guess it depends on preference and what state you live in, such as here in FL we only have rear plates so no need for front ones unless you want a decorator plate...
my old home state of SD had front plates too and it was REQUIRED, otherwise you could get a major ticket

In the past 30 years about 90% of Fords are still on the road, the other 10% made it home.

It's a law in Texas to have a front plate too. I haven't had one on most of my trucks for years though. I have talked my way out of a couple of tickets though....

FL is one of the few that do NOT have front plates at all, the state wont even issue them. i even got pulled over when i was in SD in Feb and the cop asked why i didnt have a front plate, i said its because im from FL. he didnt get what i meant by that, he just said "So? No matter what state you're from, front plates are required in SD."
he didnt liek me laughing at him and didnt get it until i told him that FL doesnt issue the front plates, hasnt for a few decades.

damn i miss the snow

LA (louisiana) doesn't require fronties. Thank God cause I'm pretty sure I'm using one of the plastic studs for my grill

No front plates here in Arkansas. I almost wish there was, so I wouldn't have to see some of the stupid stuff people put on their decorator plates.

CA require front plates but I don't have one - well it is under the drivers seat. I have a bowtie plate.

In Ontario we have to have front plate on or get $90.00 fine. I really don't like a front plate, I like smooth bumpers. So that is why I sprung $220.00 for my personal plates. Didn't want an ugly plate on my nice ride!

I saw that screwball says he misses the snow. I will send him all mine this winter if he wants it. I HATE IT!!!!
