Front 4X4 driveshaft for a NP208 case.

Does anyone know the length for the front driveshaft for a 1/2 ton NP208 case configuration? Do the transmissions matter? 350TH, 400TH or the 700R4. A friend has two driveshafts and does not know which one to sell for a 1/2 suburban NP208 case. The driveshaft is comming off a 4X4 1/2 ton truck with a NP208 case but he has two.
Any info appreciated. Thanks!!

I have a 400th/203 and a 400th/208 truck and they both have the same front drive shaft. Not sure if that helps you any.

I did find out there are two designs of drive shafts. The first went up to 77. Then another from 81-87. The years in between are a combo of both or slightly different. The 81-87 second design has a knuckle at one end with a u joint on one side and a round 4 bolt ring on the other. This design made the driveshaft shorter. The older version has u joints on both ends without the knuckle.

I guess I should have included the year of the trucks as well. The 203 truck is a 79 and the 208 truck is an 85, each have a 10 bolt front axle. They both have the round bolt pattern flange. I have often heard people call this a CV joint. My 76 with a 465/205 has the regular yoke and U-joint coming off the front output of the 205 wich is hooked to a Dana 44 front axle. Just some extra info for you!
