Whats a 58 4x4 SWB worth?
Sorry I don't have a pictue at the moment.
I found a 1958 SWB stepside 4x4 this weekend. It's been repainted green, is a bit rough, but I couldn't see any visible rust anywhere. Its lifted 4". Needs tires and wheels. Has a 350. Owner says it runs, but I would have to trailer it back to Phoenix. The bed is missing the boards, the interior needs to be re-done, but its not bad. The glass and speedometer is in good shape. Large rear window. Looks like a great project to finish. Trouble is, its been sitting in the same place, the main road on a small town in AZ, for over two years and nobody bought it. He's asking $9,000.00. Whats it worth? I usually hang with the 67-72 crowd, so I don't have any idea. If I don't go after it I'll let you know where it is.

Its real tough estimating a truck without seeing it and that one sounds a bit high.
Check out the FAQs links below to help you with truck values. Denny http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...to_threadtools |

Yea I agree with Denny. Just depends on how good of shape the truck is in, but yea..the 9k does seem a little high.

Based on the information you provided, I offered $4000. He came down to $7500, and says he has more invested. The transmission and transfer case are not original.

Its on a newer model chassis isnt it? Or no? Yea I figured the trans and transfer case isnt original since the engine has been changed to a 350 also. $7,500 sounds better then $9,000, but still kinda high considering it would need tires and wheels...and some body work (you said it was a bit rough).
"Owner says it runs, but I would have to trailor it back to Phoenix." Would you be trailering it just for the sake of getting it home...or is there something wrong with it being the reason you would have to trailer it?
