Converting cargo light into third brakelight?

How is it done? I seen a picture in an led light post of a truck that had the cargo light converted into a third brake light and would like to do this on my truck.

That post was for a 67-72, but I'm guessing that it'd work for our trucks too. I'll dig around for the pic. It was an LED circuit board that directly plugs in to the cargo light.

Wouldn't it have to be rewired to make it function as a brake light? That would be my main concern is getting it wired correctly. Thanks

Gary

My bad - it requires splicing into the cargo light - but says that the hardware to do it is included - here are the pics, early Classic Enterprises sells the stuff for this. Here's a link to the page. www.earlyclassic.com/ledtaillights.html

1986Silverado - No problem, happy to help! Hope it works for ya!

76bonanza - The kits are described as use for '67-72 trucks. I'm guessing that the cargo light will work, but don't know exact measurements. The taillights will not work as they're completely different.
