2 472" caddy motors for sale

i have 2 472" cadillac engines for sale.

1: 1968 engine is disassembled to the short block, for inspection, and is all there with the exception of the tins, intake, and cam/lifters. has 68k miles, no noticable bore wear, ran great but we took it down to inspect because we were going to build it for something else. heads are in good condition, i would finish disassembling this engine, tank it, and put it back together with new rings and bearings.

2: 1971 engine is together but should be considered to use for parts to put the other one together. 90k miles, but developed a knock when it was in my 88 silverado. i think it sat too long and i shoulda put bearings in it before i ran it. held good oil pressure, ran for all of a minute once i heard the knock and it was very slight so bearings might save it as a usable motor as well. it has intake, oil pan(modified for rear sump), new water pump, all accessories. the heads are messed up, they had a bunch of manifold bolts broken off and were drilled above the stock holes and used headers with a tall flange to bolt onto them.

3: th400 long tail from behind the 1971 engine. works flawlessly.

between the 2 motors, there are 2 sets of most anything besides intakes, oil pan. 2 CCM HEI distributors and one normal HEI, one or two points distributors, a q-jet to squarebore adapter, and a bunch of misc stuff. one excellent motor could be put together with these 2 and a new cam/lifter set. all accessory brackets, 2 power steering pumps, pulleys, and other misc stuff included as well.

asking $400 for everything or possibly trade for some nice wheels + tires for my burb 5x5 bolt pattern, a cowl hood, a roll pan, if you are interested and have anything to trade run it by me, worst i can say is no thanks. but i am very open.

I wish you were closer. I would love to have a 472 BB for my 68 SWB I'm about to acquire.

Red face

You have no idea how much I have wanted to stuff an old Chevy pickup with a 472 or 500 Caddy engine!! I have an 87 4x4 Silverado I bought new which needs an engine as well as an 83 C-20 I'd like to build for show (plus a couple more). Wish you were closer.....you'd be my new best friend! I'd like to talk to you more about the how-to's of that swap.....S/S ....EDIT TO ADD...Just as an after thought, I have a nice set of stock cast wheels which came on a 91 Blazer I bought new with 60,000 miles on them....like new, been in garage...6 lug 15".....plus some other stuff around here....S/S
