New Bucket Seat Options?

There was an article in Classic Trucks a few months back about all the newer model trucks that had buckets that would fit in our trucks. My subscription to Classic Trucks started after that article and I can't find it on their website. Does anybody know where to find it or that can give me a list of the vehicles that were mentioned in the article.

Thanks

I don't remember the article but here is a link to a post from another site http://67-72chevytrucks.com/techtips/other/other_1.html

I have a 40/60 benchseat from a similar year 90's truck that fit well... several holes worked, others had to be drilled.

I'm looking for some 99-up Chevy Truck or Tahoe/Yukon 96-01's that will fit. I prefer the newer chevy's because they have the seatbelts already in the seats. I remember there being some F150'S and some Dodge trucks that would work also. I just need the details of the years and models

Thanks

I just happened to have that article bookmarked as I am currently looking to replace my seat as well. It was in the August issue of Classic Trucks on page 80. It did say the Ford seats would need some work to adapt the mounts as the front holes are at an angle, no integrated seat belts. 94 - 01 Dodge had integrated seatbelts but woudl require some modification of round the hump. I would guess that if your running a tall hump (big block or 4spd) truck that this could be a big problem.

Would really like to find a nice 40-20-40 for a 99Chevy/GMC up with the integrated seatbelts. Haven't found much locally yet.

I am looking at the mid 90's f150 seat (buckets with a fold down console), one of the trucks at work has this seat and i find it to be very comfy. The only mod needed is the front mount needs to be reworked. Others that fit very well are any of the late 80's seats. Good luck on your mission.

I haven't seen the article, but I installed a set from a '00 Silverado a couple months ago. It was a huge improvment and makes the ride so much nicer.

I have some 02 Silverado seats like 67_SS has. I went after them mainly for the integrated seat belts. Solves 2 problems in one purchase... nice comfy seats and the saftey of nice seat belts.

Seats

99-2door, sent you a pm also.
I pulled the seats out of my '02 chevy and installed them in my 70 swb just to check the fit. Not bad and like posted above the ride was way more comfortable too.

I used a Ford bench in mine, the passenger side front mount layed good on the roll in the floor. The driver side I made a bracket to fit between the mount and floor. Worked and fit great.

Anybody else have pics of their seats?

I have a 67 GMC with the original gas tank that I am putting back together.
I am trying to decide if I should use the recovered original bench seat (black) or go
with blakc seats from a newer truck?

Any pics would be greatl appreciated!

Thanks
Chris
