327 Tranny lines path

Ok I am looking at my assembly manual for the tranny cooler lines and I cant tell if they are supposed to go beside or behind the starter. Heres the pic. Can someone tell me where they are supposed to be run?

Thanks

They run along the outside of the starter and then tuck in closer to the block. This allows for easier removal of the starter.

Thanks for the reply. How close do they run 1-2 inches? Kinda hard to tell from the pic.

Anytime! The original lines should have roughly 1/2" to 1" of clearance.
