changing shift points??
i think i finally gotten around to changing the shift points on the gov. of my tranny.
i say i think, because i dont think i'm doing it right. i changed out one of the weights and one of the springs, reinstalled it, and now it is really boggy like ti doesnt go anywhere until 2000 rpms and it wont rev quickly at all and wants to stay around 3200 rpms. i'm gonna change it back to stock before i break something. i wonder if it has anything to do with it being a th350c?? i do not have any of the lockup controls or any of that on there anymore. the kit i bought was the b&m kit |

Governor = GM
BTW: I may be completely wrong, but on a Th350, don't you change the shift points by adjusting the vacuum modulator on the side? I thought the 700R4 used the governor, but like I say, I don't know about a Th350c. On the vette, I had to get a new governor from GM, and then I changed the weights/springs on it, to get the shifts at exactly 5000rpm. |
