If I recall, your had the messed up motor right? In my honest opinion -- Go get yourself a decent 305 / 350 and drop it in there, you'd likley be able to get closer to 3 - 4 grand that way, while the motor would only cost a few hundred tops for a used stocker...

Plus, you might end up deciding you want to keep your baby after you start working on her again

Good luck selling her! If you were a bit closer to home, I'd be quite interested

I do

i do have a 305 for it it needs the heads and lifters installed i have all the motor parts the bottom part is already together just needs top end done. I'll be honest with everyone i loved this truck but i have gotten to the point where i hate it because i have looked at it to long and i want a newer truck or a sports car . i just dont have time to work on the motor because im in every activity my school offers so therefore i dont have time to work to make money to finish it. It have a 305 motor i will include with it . it just needs to be finished . I really must sale it ! But if i do actually find time to get my motor done i will probably keep it but if someone would give me $2500.00 it would be gone just for the simple fact that im tired of looking at it *DONT GET ME WRONG THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL PICK-UP*

Exclamation I Have The Original Motor To That Truck!!!!!!

A KID I KNOW USED TO OWN THAT TRUCK AND TOTALLY TRASHED IN 6MOS. THE REAR END IS OUT OF A 77 3/4 TON. I ACTUALLY TALKED TO YOUR MOM ABOUT THAT TRUCK. MAYBE WE CAN MAKE A DEAL. I'D LIKE TO HAVE IT JUST TO FIX IT AND RUB IT IN THIS KID'S FACE. I HAVE THE 350 OUT OF THAT TRUCK ON MY SHOP FLOOR. IT WAS WORN OUT AND HE SUBMERGED IT IN WATER. IT DOES HAVE RUST BEHIND THE REAR TIRES BUT THE PAINT IS NICE. PM ME I'D LIKE TO GET YOUR PHONE NUMBER. DAVIDundefinedundefined

Blue Truck

That Truck Does Clean Up Nice. I Used To Be Disqusted When I Would See Him Ragging On That Truck. It Had Been Taken Care Of And He Literally Trashed It In A Short Time. On The Passenger Door He Used To Hit It By The Handle If The Door Didn't Close Right Away. He Had A Billet Grille On It And A Moo-guard, Then He Tried To Run Over A T-post And Put It Through The Grille And Radiator That's Why You Have A New Radiator With It. When He Traded It In He Only Got $1000 For It. He Put A Motor In It That Was Messed Up Where You Mount The Starter So It Was Bad From The Start. Did You Find Some Ac Brackets And Compressor For It? He Trew That Stuff Away I Believe. Pm Me I'd Like To Talk With You. Sincerely

your truck

If I can help you with your truck or any parts or qustions just let me know. You'll want to keep it when you get it running until you have to feed it.

If you are really worried about gas milage, put in a 700r4 when / if you swap a new motor in, with a 700r4 and nice driving, you can probally get 18 - 20 mpg on the highway

Something else to consider if your looking to save some gas is to run a quadrajet.
They have small primarys and large secondarys. As long as you keep your foot out of the carb, they do well with gas. They will also run like cat with its tail on fire when tuned correctly

....

That was one my dad suggested but i do seem to have a lead foot. Its going to be hard to get use to. I have driven a 1984 caprice since i got my lic. its got a dent on every fender so i could care less if i tore it up its one of those deals where i drive 100 every where i go and all my parents say is " you need to slow down your going to ethier get pulled over or your gonna wreck" well the ticket i could careless about the wreck i would care about if i hit someone else or hurt someone but the car i could careless. So does anyone know where i can get a edelbrock performer or a quadrajet or whatever for under $100??? I also need a edelbrock carb or a holley.

I think we need to pitch in and get chica here a TBI setup with a speed limiter of 75 mph on it, lol

100 mph is wayyyy too fast for anyone to be driving (even coming from an 18 year old!)
