OT/65 Impala Info.

Can antone help me out what I'm looking for is what year chevy can I rob the front disc brakes off of for my 65?That will fit without alot of modifications.

'69-'70 Chevy full-sized cars have the same suspension design as a '65, and have single-piston calipers. '67-'68 will also work, but have 4-piston calipers, which are leak-prone, hard to find parts for, & fairly rare anyway.

I used the 70 Impala brake parts to install disc brakes on my 66 Impala. It is a good way to go but they are hard to find as has been mentioned. Also, 15" wheels are needed for clearance.

When I converted my 65 SS I wanted to keep the 14" wheels and SS wheel covers so I used after market caliper brackets with Chevelle rotors. If you have an interest in this conversion I can e-mail you an article on it.
