Kumho Road Venture AT KL-41

Found some tires at tirerack.com that kinda caught my eye. They're 31x10.5. The price is right... $75 each. And they're pretty highly rated on the site. Has anyone used this site? Anyone bought this tire? Is that size OK on a 15x8 rally wheel on a 86 C10?

We run the Kumho road venture MT's on our work trucks. Gone through about 4 sets of 235/85R16's between 2 trucks and have never had a problem with them. They don't wear super being mud tires on one ton duallys, but the AT's should be better. They are well constructed and i've never had one come apart. 10.5 inch wide tires are fine on 8 inch rims.

Thanks Eric, I've never heard of 'em and the review's seem to be somewhat scarce on 'em. The deal seems great... just wanna make sure I spend my bucks wisely. Fit on the 8" rims OK... Do you know if a 31x10.5 rubs at all turning on a 2wd?

I'm running 31x10.5's on my 77 C-10 on 6 inch rims with no rub. The rims are a little narrow, but no problems so far. My dad has a 75 C-10 with the same 31x10.5's on 8 inch rallys with no rubbing either. I've seen a C-10 on stock springs with 32x11.5's and the guy claimed they didn't rub either. The rule on rim size that I've always heard is the tire shouldn't be more than 4 inches wider than the rim, so with an 8 inch rim, the widest tire you should run is 12 inches. 10.5 is about perfect. Just FYI.

I'm running a set of 235/75 on factory aluminum rims on my 78 k-10 and love them. I've got 20,000 miles on them and they are showing little too no wear. They have excellent snow traction, aren't too bad in the rain. Since mine are 6 ply, they are starting to ride a little rougher now that some of the rubber has worn off, but it could also be the shocks are getting old and the fact that the springs are probably shot. They are by far the best tires I’ve had on the truck and will be putting the same thing on my 78 C-10.

Great... thx all for the info. I'd never heard of them before and was hesitant on buying them. Love to hear the good reviews along with the great price on them.
