Truck magazines
I have just subscribed for 12 issues to the Classic Trucks magazine.
I wonder if anyone knows of any other magazine that cover these 67-72 Chevy/GMC trucks? Thanks Mats Karlson Sweden |

generally most of the magazines i've seen are pretty useless unless you have an outhouse
my feeling is you get the most bang for your buck by buying a factory assembly manual and factory service manual

Classic Truck and Custom Classic Truck does a few features and stories on the 67-72's. I get em' both. Besides if the article is for Ford or whatever you can use the idea on yours. Now if you don't want to modify or update your ride go with C's suggestion. But for the newer ideas your money is well spent. Have fun!!!!

Classic Trucks magazine is one of my favorites. Custom Classic Trucks is not quite the favorite, but both are decent. CT seems to have more articles related to the 67-72 Chevy's, and CCT has more for the others. Truck Builder (Buckaroo Publications) had a build up going on a '67. Truckin' has a "Classic Truck" section. Sport Truck magazine has a variety, but is not my favorite.
I think you made the best choice. I also know you're going to pay big Euros (Kronas??) for your subscription, but Sweden is also well known as a hot bed of hot rodding in Europe.

Thank you all for replaying.
I think I will get the assembly and service manuals, I have them for Camaro 1980 and they were very useful when I did restoration jobs on my -80 Z28. The subscription was $39,95 for 12 issues and I think thatīs about the double what you have to pay in US, however I think I can find them in some special book/magazine stores in Sweden but they will cost around $10-12 each so $39,95/12 issues is a pretty good deal for me anyway. Thanks Mats.. |

I generally only buy the magazines if I see some special tech article or a good idea.
Board members have very good ideas as well.

There's a magazine called "Classic American" here in the UK that does have some aritcles on Trucks but covers the US Car scene in general. I belive they will do european subscriptions. They do also have articles on a lot of scandinavian owned vehicles. (as you have a great US Car scene over there) they usually have a report on Vasteras each year. Their (out of date!) website is http://www.classic-american.com/

I will go into a special magazine store and see if they have that "Classic American", I saw that they have EU subscriptions for Ģ44 and I belive it was 13 issues.
I have been to the Power Big Meet in Vasteras every year for about the last 10-12 years, have you ever been there Lippyp? There always use to be some guys there from the UK. Well , I will have to wait 8-12 weeks for my first issue of the Classic Trucks mag but until then I have the best source of all: this great board and the great board members. I will exchange some (SEK) kronor to dollars and send to Josh to help him this board alive. Thanks Mats.. |
