Where do you connect the fly wheel cover?

They all gad it at one point...but never re-installed. I like leaving it off not only becouse I am lazy, but it offers a little bit of cooling to the converter.
At least in theory anyways. (and in theory...comunisim works!)
If you were to look at your tranny, the opening at the bellhousing, where you can view the converter (as installed in the truck) there will be a couple small unused threaded holes. That's where the cover bolts on.

Good tip, the later K/5 blazers, and some trannys in overdrive aplications had a thick alluminum cover instead of the chintzy steel one that you always have to bend and flex to make it fit.

Those thicker aluminum covers also have to bolt holes for the stiffening bars that go on those trucks. Many of these are not reinstalled when they are removed during service.

i have the thick aluminum version with the rods and motor mount brackets. never have hooked the rods up because getting the fat bolts in the motor mount bracket seems nigh-on impossible. got it off my 74 jimmy when it finally died (after 350,000 of HARD miles!) had to clearance it with a 10 grinder, it was interferring with the flywheel just a bit. also had to drill holes in the bellhousing for more mounting holes. the aluminum cover has 3 per side ( ithink) whereas the steel cover only has two.

still cool. and they are supposed to really help with holding the heavy 205 cases, even though they have their own brace, every bit helps!
