My question is do i stick with the close nuckle front axle or do i swap the axles for the ones in my 89 blazer doner . Just keep in mind its just a daily driver . I would swap em out just to run newer better axle's and disk brake's ... BTW I did not know that 72's came with the closed knuckle axle???

If you're gonna upgrade it, might as well add discs. your 10 bolt will have metric brake fittings vs SAE on the truck, but other than that it should work ok.
