help, clutch linkage
was putting duel exhaust in my 72 chevy w/4 speed and must have bumped the wrong thing, clutch linkage and various assorted parts and a spring came raining down on me. how does all this go back in?? please help!!!

This is a '69, with a 6cyl and 3spd, and won't be exactly like your '72, but the pic shows the basic config of the linkage and springs.
 Basically, the rod that runs from your z-bar to the clutch fork is held in place by the pressure from the spring, so if you knocked it out, it could fall out of place. Make sure you lube it up and get the correct spring clips to hold it back together...really makes a difference it the clutch feel (yeah, I know - this one's still grundgy...one of these days...)
