Donor truck

Ok, I have this 67 C20 whcich needs lots of things/upgrades such as; Front disk, HEI swap, seats, rear suspention, power steering and so on. Do you think it is more practical/economical to find a donor truck or just go ahead and try to upgrade them one at a time? If you vote for donnor truck, which year(s) truck is the best to consider?

you could go newer than that too. like 73-87. and then buy a seat from a 2000ish silverado
