Is this a good deal?
I have a question for the good people who know more than I do:
I have been looking for a rear end... 5 on 5 bolt pattern, prefer posi, and I figured I would use a conversion kit from early classic enterprises for the front, as I am going from 3/4 ton to 1/2 ton. I contacted a person in southern cali and this is his reply: "Have everything you need for your 1/2 ton conversion(5 lug disc brakes with 1/2 ton control arms,5 lug rear end) and Ill give you a package deal for everything for $750" Does this sound "good" or should I just do the rear end and then give the other idea a go since I want to lower the front in the long run as well, as in drop spindles and what not? Any comments would be appreciated My thanks |

Look for a better deal. Sometimes you can buy the whole truck for $750.00. Parts trucks are VERY handy. Use drop spindles if that's the way you want to go. No sense buying stuff twice. I just rebuilt my 2wd blazer front end,... and replaced almost everything. (New drop spindles, rotors, calipers, dust shields, brake lines, etc) Getting this stuff used would have done me no good. ECE is the way to go!
