Help with 73+ brakes on '70 GMC
Hello all. I have a '70 GMC that I am swapping the entire front end of a 1975 chev onto. I have a question about the brake hoses. What calipers and hoses do I use? I have read the 71-2 are different from 73+, and since the 71-2 disc swap requires "special" hoses from Early Classic or similar to adapt to 1970 and earlier lines, this would mean that I cannot use the 1973 calipers?!? Can I use 1971-2 calipers? Are the rotors the same size on 72- 73+? Please help as I am new to these trucks and a little confused..
I also bought the steering box..and will be using a 73+ pump most likely..will the 73+ hoses work fine? Am I missing anything? Thanks all. |

Welcome to the board from South Mississippi. I don't know the answer to your question, but you came to the right place to get it answered.

Use the brake lines (all the way up to and including the master cylinder) and calipers from the 75. The 75 steering hoses should work fine if you are using the 75 box and pump.
