Cargo Light Question
Is the cargo light assembly used on the 67-72 essentially the same as the 73-87 cargo light assembly?

Nope, nothing like the 73 - 87 at all. (just to point out, it was only 69 - 72)

Thanks for the information. Was wanting to try out that LED third brake/cargo light thing using the cargo lamp assembly. Early Classics sell it for that vintage of cargo lamp for $109.95.

I would think that you could cut the back of your cab out so that it would fit. Not that difficult job if you have another truck around to take dementions from. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Yeah, i agree with Wes, and the 69 - 72 light puts out WAY more light and is better looking.

i chose to go another route. used a 2003 f*&d superduty third brake light/cargo light assembly. got the best of both worlds. contour matches nice at the top of the cab. not quite centered, but close. pretty easy to wire, too.
