Heater Box Gaskets
I bought a heater box gasket kit from the truck shop ... theres a couple gaskets that i can't figure out where they go ... theres 4 mystery peices .. 2 round with round holes and 2 rectangular peices with round holes.. i'll try and post a pic .. can anyone enlighten me on where they go

I just got a kit as well...was looking at the same pieces. I am thinking the rectangular ones go on the hood side, where the heater core hoses hook on to the heater core. I am not sure, but that is the only thing I could think of. I will be waiting to see where they "really" go from someone who "really" knows!! Thanks for the post!

Depends whether or not you have AC or not. They go inside the heater box. Use the adhesive you got with the kit to glue those pieces to the inside of the heater box where the heater core connections go through to the outside. That way any openings around the connections are sealed off to prevent air from escaping the box. I know the rectangle ones are for non-AC boxes, and I think the round ones are for AC boxes. Remember this heater box is full of air being moved past your heater core. The last thing you want to do is let it leak into your engine compartment, or let CO into your heater box.
