Is there such thing as a 12in clutch with a 26 spline input?
I can't seem to find one.

I have a 12 inch clutch in my '74 but I think the input is just a 10 spline. What tranny do you have?

Well, I am wanting a Richmond ROD 6 speed transmission. They offer more gear ratios with a 26 spline input shaft. I have a 12in with 10 splines. I want to keep the 12in clutch. Does Centerforce make one?

If you are looking at a good clutch like Centerforce,I would just go with the 11" clutch. The same flywheel will work.....69 longhorn.

There are listings for 12" GM clutch discs with the 1 1/8" 26 spline hub. I am looking at McLeod listings in the PAW catalog, and that combo is there. I would think that most clutch manufacturers would make it.

Just wondering - why are you going with the ROD instead of the Borg-Warner T-56? The latter seems to be about half the price of a ROD...

I want to be able to pick the gear ratios that I want. The t5 and t56 take alot of modifications to install. The ROD is a direct bolt up.
I have read the the t5 and the t56 are vary weak trannies. They were designed for the factory application and nothing else. I want something that is tough. 67 Ben |

You have the right idea 67,the richmond 6spd should be pretty much bullet proof! I would love to go that route in the longhorn,but spent it pretty hard on the 383. Guess the hydro will do for now!......69 longhorn
