Clicking Noise
I fired up the truck last night and I am hearing a clicking coming from the passenger side head. Sounds like it is coming from #8 or #6. What does a clicking valve mean?

It depends on just what is clicking. Usually it's a lifter that's gummy. If that's it, try adding a can of Rislone engine treatment to the oil. It might help. Also, open the valve cover, be sure the valve are operating correctly.
If it is a sticky lifter, and the Rislone doesn't stop the noise, the next step is new lifters. But as long as the lifter is working properly, the noise doesn't hurt anything. It just bugs the heck out of you.

I would also look even closer and ensure its not a small exhaust leak

Thanks. I will check the exhaust manifold first tonight then go for the lifter check. I think its the exhaust manifold. I will reply back what I find.

Could also be a rocker out of adjustment, or a rocker pulling the stud out of the head, or a cam going flat which increases the valve lash.

if it is constant its possibly an exhaust gasket leak,if intermitant could be a lifter or rocker arm. get a stethiscope or a broom handle and listen to the affected area for either valve train noise or exhaust pecking thru a leaky gasket

Well I think I found the problem. Ramhorn bolts near# 6 and 8 were loose. I tightened then up and started the truck. The click is still there but a lot quieter.

Update:
One of the nuts going to the pipe was a little loose. 1 full turn later then start up the truck and no more clicky. Thanks for all the help.

i had a few loose exhaust manifold bolts on the passenger side one time .... got on it pretty good to pass a few cars and blew a big chuck of the gasket out .... cheap and easy fix .. but it really worried me for alittle bit (was horribly loud)
