Getting a bumper chromed these days, as I found out while doing my own research on the topic, will likely cost you a small fortune for "show quality" work-- I got bids in the $500-700 range for a front bumper, and that didn't include round-trip shipping. $133 sounds like either a mis-quote or questionable work if you're looking for top-notch chroming. If not, you've found the deal of the century.
Wow!, looks like several people found the deal of the century!

I checked in Little Rock, and it was in the $160 range for my front bumper. Haven't had it done, yet, so nothing but an estimate. Check your Yellow Pages for a shop and give 'em a call.

$160? You can get repro for $110 or so?

Is there a huge difference between repro and OEM bumpers?

i'd say $160 is a pretty cheap price to get a bumper chromed i've seen shops that do the highend show chrome charge $500-$700 per bumper

Dayum! Now thats cheap enough considering they straighten it too.

Lets see, Dallas is what, 5 - 6 hours from me. . . Wonder if they'll do it while I wait, hmmmm.

I had both the front and the rear bumper straightened and re-chromed here in Austin for less than $300 about three years ago. Quality was excellent.

Superior Chrome on North Main street right here in Ft Worth Texas.

Last one I had done there was my Blazer- 125 bucks for double chrome. Beautiful job too.

They do our dump truck bumpers, including straightening them for 200 bucks.

Maybe this is a dumb question...but why chrome when many of the suppliers offer bumpers for $120 or so?

Because what's available on the Boards are reproductions.. I bought mine at Tuckers in Las Vegas before I moved. It's lighter in weight IE: Thinner....

I remember when Kenneth,"XXL" did the In Bumper turn signal custom work to his Bumper, He checked with a few places and it was no where near this $160.00 cheap price. And Kenneth is NOT full of

That's about the price range I have found in my area,500-700.A couple places will do it in the $200 range, but You get what You pay for.$500-$700 guys will dip the bumper in copper, buff it and dip it again till it is completly smooth.Put a $700 one next to a $200 bumper.

This bumper ended up twisted after my brother got into an accident a few years a go. To get the bumper straightened and re-chromed, it cost me $125. They did a very good job.

I got one from Paul at Carlisle 2 yrs ago.Still looks good. Before you tighten the bolts make sure to check to see if You need shims between the bumper and mounts. You may need to adjust the mounts to.This will help to avoid bending the bumper. My truck is a daily driver.I painted the back with eastwood chassis paint and keep the shiny side waxed.

Or in my case, I'm doing a custom bumper, so the rework needs to be done before the chrome--
